I have been going through the LDS films and found the birth records for Szymon and Maryanna. Both these records indicate that Pawel was born in 1797. The wife in Szymon's birth is Anny Rachowski, 38 years old. The wife for Maryanna's birth, 4 yrs. later is Joanny Rachowski and she is still lsited as 38, so I don't know if they are different people. Pawel's occupation was listed as borowy or a forester. This was a pretty important job, generally equivalent to the sheriff and often handed from father to son. The town, Miedzno, is near Rossoszyca and is only 16 km from Zdunska Wola. I searched from 1815 - 1835 and found no other Malecki's in Miedzno and no marriage record for Pawel.

I'm looking for relatives of my wife, maiden name Dlugozima. Her mother's name was Jadwiga Maleszka(i). Jadwiga's parents were Piotr Maleszko (Malecki) and Anna Wadolowska(i). Piotr and Anna lived in Tykoczin in the east of Poland app. 1900.
Before that time the name Malecki was changed by the Russian Government into Malezsko.
